Our Story
The dating app allowed the girl to initiate contact, which is perfect for me; high-control and impatient, and worked for Brett; here I am girls come and get it! I reached out and we started talking and planned our first date, which went very well with lots of great conversation. As I drove him home, it was still early, and I expected him to invite me in, but he says, “well that was fun”, and I quickly responded, you’re not going to invite me in to watch a movie or something? Brett pauses and says, “well now that you’ve asked, sure come on in”. (Momma raised me; if you don’t ask, you don’t get---lol).
Our evening ended after some tv and more talking, and I felt very excited about the possibilities, he seemed like a great guy, we had fun and he was very easy to be around. Unfortunately, he plays his cards close to the chest and I had absolutely no idea what he really thought of me.
Next day I was in a pickle to pick up my dog Coco from the vet before they closed and thought maybe Brett would pick her up for me he loved dogs, and then I’d get to see him again. I figured if he fell in love with Coco, I’d be a shoe in. He was very sweet and picked her up, and by the time I arrived that evening, she was all snuggled up to him, and looked at me like where were you in my time of need, I’m with him now, geeze what a little traitor.
As the weeks passed, I continued to find ways to insert myself into Brett’s life even if it meant playing darts with him and his dudes, which they did a lot, and all the while referring to me as his “friend”. Let me tell you, I was not looking for friendship and he had no idea who he had “be-friended”,
We spent endless hours during our first summer together playing golf, he really was a golfer, and we made sure to play as many courses within 3 hours of Bozeman as possible. I would say that our time on the golf course was really where we fell in love, or where he finally stopped calling me his “friend”.

Lily and I met at Lone Mountain Ranch 4 years ago. I remember walking by her desk every day on the way to lunch and she’d be 3 inches away from her computer screen with fingers flying on the keyboard, and all around the edges of her computer screen were post-it notes. I remember thinking, “Dang that girl is fricken dedicated, but also a little cray-cray with the post-it notes”. Shortly after that we happened to sit at lunch together and instantly became friends and a force to be reckoned with, double trouble everywhere we went.
Stephanie Moore

Stephanie started working at Lone Mountain Ranch about 6 months after Lily. Lily and Stephanie had been friends for years back home in Florida. I remember meeting Stephanie for the first time at Lily's house and thinking “wow this girl is super funny and also super chill, she must think I am a lot” lol. It took about a year for Stephanie to totally warm up to me, because again, I’m a lot, but after she did, we became incredibly close. I love Stephanie as a friend because I can always rely on her to tell me exactly how it is, no sugar coating. That’s exactly the type of friend I need because I can be a loose cannon. Stephanie also started the “Bad Girls Club” at work, and on Sundays when the girls were off, we’d have “Bad Girl Sunday,” go out and have WAY too much fun.

I met Miss Sweet Emma the first season I worked at the ranch back in the fall of 2017 when she worked at the front desk. I remember asking her, “Where are you from? Is everyone where you’re from just as sweet as you are?” She laughed and said, “Well I’m from Mississippi, I’m from the south,” and I said, “OMG my little southern bell”. The next season Emma worked with me in Retail, (sadly one season working for me was all she could take lol). I’m not sure how much we got done that summer, work got in the way of gossip and boy trouble sagas lol. Even though Emma is our sweet southern bell, Stephanie and I made an exception and happily brought her on board as the 5th member for “Bad Girl Sundays.”
Sarah Lockhart

Sarah and I met almost 2 years ago, and I remember soon after thinking, I’ve met my match. Sarah was the one female, (besides my mom of course), who wasn’t afraid to tell me what I didn’t want to hear, but needed to hear, and who ran circles around her bosses just like me, #twinning. When I was hiring drivers for the upcoming season, I remember Sarah immediately saying, “You should hire my husband Truman to drive, he’s married so he is already trained”. I died laughing and knew she was my kind of girl. We spent a lot of time together at work, often loitering at her desk, (instead of working), because she always knew exactly what to say and how to talk me off whatever ledge I was on. She even changed her days off to Sunday-Monday, like mine, and almost every Monday we would meet in Bozeman and spend WAY too much money at ULTA and Target, then hit McDonalds! Sarah and Truman, (I did hire him as a driver and he was super well trained), quickly became a big part of my life, I never thought I would love being a third wheel, but with them I loved it.
Jimmy McGauley
Best Man
Brett met Jimmy the Irishman, soon after Jimmy started working at Barnard Construction with Brett’s dad Lyle. They officially met at the annual Barnard golf tournament 10 years ago. Jimmy asked Lyle to pick him up on the way to the course, and there was Brett and was one of their foursome. The two became fast friends on the golf course and the rest is history!

Tyler is Brett's older brother. and lives in Billings with his wife Mindy and their sweet boys Sam (7) and Ben (2). He is a professional Chef by trade and loves cooking wonderful meals at home for family and friends.
Travis McClellan
Groomsman
Travis is Brett's younger brother and is a successful Project Manager for Barnard Construction, headquarters Bozeman. This job has given him the opportunity to live all over the country while working on large scale projects . He is currently residing in Loveland, Colorado with his long-time girlfriend Sarah and their two teacup Aussie puppies Steel and Mac.
Todd Leone
Groomsman
When Brett was 17 years old he was starting his own irrigation business, and was introduced by a mutual contractor friend to Todd who had his own landscaping company. The GC wanted them to do all of his upcoming projects, so Todd invited Brett over to his home to discuss, they ended up chatting, playing pool, and they’ve been great friends for over 15 years.

Dane is Hannah’s baby brother, who is graduating from UW June 2022. Brett and Dane met for the first time Christmas 2020, and over the holiday and since the two have had a major Bro-Fest, which makes us question Brett’s maturity level, lol, but they have a lot of fun together and are excited to be brother-in-laws.

Please join us for dinner to celebrate prior to Brett and Hannah becoming husband and wife! The bride has coordinated transportation to shuttle guests to the restaurant in the Zone Romantica of Puerto Vallarta, after the wedding rehearsal. The shuttle will pick up the Bridal party from Villa Ventura at 6:45pm after the ceremony reheral Villa Montecito is only 3 minutes away so then the shuttle will pick up any remaining family members for the rehersal dinner!
The father of the groom will be hosting 6 shared appetizers, 1 entree per person, 6 shared desserts, and 2 drinks per person!
The rehearsal dinner will be held at La Palapa restaurant where we will enjoy authentic tropical Mexican cuisine!

We have arranged for this beautiful Villa as accommodations for our destination wedding affair, October 5th-10th. Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, and guests will be staying with the Bride and Groom, at Villa Montecito. Accommodation fee includes food, alcohol, and stay at the Villa for 5 days.
